Cheer me up

Coasters, originally uploaded by -syko-.

Today I just feel like complaining so this will be no long post. This is supposed to be a happy craft blog :) One thing I AM happy about is that I did some planting with little E on Saturday so now we are waiting for sunflowers to turn up in our pots (got to take pictures next time we get our fingers dirty). How I love gardening! We've had some wonderful warm Summer weather for over two weeks. Today was cold and windy, which suited my Monday mood.

I did some coasters with houses too, they can be found in the shop. I made the houses of small scraps with Vliesofix, I get a lot of them making my appliqués. The steam is hand stitched. I love embroidery very much, but since I don't have the time to sit down with anything big I have to keep it very small! This way I can sneak out to my chair in the sun in the middle of the work day to sew some tiny stitches and work on my tan... Now tell me something nice YOU have done today!

We are all entitled to be grumpy every now and then, I just had a few grumpy days myself. The coasters are gorgeous, they made me smile. I had a happy day today and a positive good thing I did was create a treasury, check it out

Well I am grumpy also today, I woke up with a migraine headache, what a way to start the week!
Anyway I figured it can only get better from here, so I went into my sewing room and did a little sewing. The headaches not completely gone but at least I made something creative, which made me happy.
Hope your day got better as it went on.

I planted purple and blue pansies in my flower boxes today! Getting to the garden center distracted me from the mountain of laundry that needs folding.

Something nice I did today? Make Lemon Balm tea from the enormous clumps of it which are growing in my garden. And drool over your coasters of course.

sorry to hear you are having an off day...what nice thing did I do today...let's see...well, I DIDN'T get a headache, which is fairly unusual for me, and I ate a nice meal in the garden with my dear ones, which is also a bit unusual as I normally get home from work too late for anythng so civilised. So that was nice.

Hope tomorrow is better

I'm grumpy because my external hard-drive where all my PC files are saved is corrupted! It's at computer hospital now being fixed. Nice thing I've done? Ummmm .... I'm running a blog-giveaway ... does that count?!

I'm grumpy today, too. I washed a quilt and the batting has dark spots that are showing through the white quilt top so it looks dirty. and it is all quilted and bound, so unless I want to rip out a 85" square quilt apart stitch by stitch, I have to live with it. It's quite disturbing!!! I'm not quite sure what to do. :(

I LOVE your house coasters, though. they are bright and cheerful.

I came here and looked at your beautiful creations! Can't be grumpy after that even though I'm busy ripping out terrible machine quilting that I did today.

my 14 month old had decided that it is okay to hold my hands and run flat out. grass is now considered to be lovely and something you roll in (rather than screaming and crying over), so i got to spend the afternoon, in the shade of the aparment block, running on the grass in the nice cool breeze (rather than being stuck inside in the humidity). hope your tuesday is better and those coasters are yum.

Your coasters are beautiful. I really love all the stuff you make. The nice thing I did today was chat to my sister in London for her birthday, it was wonderful!

Wow - those are fab!!!
I had a good day yesterday, it was sunny, so me and the little ginger one went out to the sculpture park, and chased the lambs.

sorry you had such an off day but hopefully today is better.. Yesterday I planted a purple pepper plant in the green house much to my husband's amusement, and did a small bit of painting on some tea stained book pages which made me feel happy and calm which is no small feat sometimes.

lovely little house coasters!

Oh dear, I hope you're feeling better now. Those coasters are fantastic!
Today I went to bed at 2am because I was watching Dexter and sewing felt spikes onto a really big, cuddly crochet dinosaur :)

The happy things I've done are going to see live noisy music on Sunday (It's taken me till today to get my hearing back properly) and watching my seeds grow.

Hey... it's OK to feel like complaining and like a witch once in a while. You can't be UP all the time. Besides... you're working so hard!!
Sunny day hugs,

Yep, everybody has grumpy days. But I agree looking at your projects is certainly cheerful! I'm happy that I'm almost finished with my ATC swap project (late as usual though).

I took my two preschool boys out on our first warm, sunny spring day in a few weeks. We watched a big digger at a construction site, ran up and down hills, went to the library, and then stopped at the park, where they actually played happily while I flipped through my library finds. It was lovely.

I love your houses. They are so lovely and fun.
