I want to thank you all for your creative ideas for the interactive project! I got so many good suggestions I decided to count them all in the draw this time. Originally it was meant to be the ten first, but hey, I set the rules and I do want you all to play with me!
The winning suggestion this time was given by paperfish who said: i am seeing her with a bicycle in the picture, like she rode to the country on her bike and in the basket is her fabric stash and her sewing machine is magic and works anywhere! I hope you are satisfied with the result, it was VERY challenging, I have never sewn a bike before. Nor did I think I would be able to draw one. But fabric and thread works wonders with my drawings, it continually surprises me. Click here for a close-up of it.
I am posting the rules here again if you want to play with me, next round is 6/10!
I will:
1. wait until I have got (at least) ten suggestions for the next motive
2. draw one of them
3. do my best to do as you wish using fabric and thread (and buttons?)
4. go through 10 stages
5. draw a winner among all the people who has come with one of the ten first suggestions at any stage
Feel free to join in! Can't wait to see what my next task will be! You can see the whole process in my flickr.

wow, a bike!!! That looks great, I am really impressed.
Next stage...she still needs a friend, a little cat who will play with all of her odds and ends of threads until they've rolled into a neat little ball.

I just have to see, this project of yours is so inspiring. I love the ink and paint-look stemming from the combination of thread and fabric.
I like the way she's almost floating but on the other hand, I'd also like to see some grass. That might sound a little dull, but I've personally always loved proper patches of grass. Not the grass of a well-kempt lawn but proper grass, with a million colours and moss and teensy flowers and little bugs. The kind that smells spicy and earthy when you bury your nose in it and pretend that it's a forest.
Dang! I was going to suggest a cat, but Katy beat me to it, now I'll have to suggest a friendly chameleon.
the bike is amazing, and the fabric pile is so very sweet! i think that i would still like a simple little house on a hill (as she does need someplace to be going to sew up all of her lovely fabric). :)cathy

I added you to my bloglist here:

Oh the details you included on the bike are amazing!! I love the tires, the chain, the pin cushion, everything!
For the next step I'm with Cathy, I see some sort of home perhaps Grandma's cottage with a cobblestone path.
I love, love, love the bike!
So my idea is rain and another girl with an umbrella holding for both of them:-)
I went to Flickr an the bike with fabric/parcels stacked on the back of it... are adorable. You really did a WOW job with that!!
Can't wait to see what's next.

This is looking fab - the bike looks amazing.
So next...
I think maybe a picnic (that was packed in the satchel on the front of the bike). A nice bright table cloth, some sandwiches and other temping treats like ice cream cones and popcorn because she must need some energy for the bike ride home with that heavy sewing machine...
or
a tree stump and a squirrel earing a pile of tasty nuts...
is that cheating? (2 suggestions in one)

The bike is amazing. You did a wonderful job!
I am with rebekka. I would love to see a blooming meadow.
Wow a Dutch bike, that calls for a Dutch cow!! I try again!
this really is the coolest project ever and it is turning out so great. i love the addition of the bike.
I love the bike you've added - I've seen it on Flickr and didn't have time to comment though till now. Looking forward to the next round :)
Thanks for the inspiration! I have plans for a new computer bag, since the black ones we get from work are BOOOOORING. Now I know that it definitely will have a sewingmashine on it somewhere...
Thanks for an inspiring blog!
