Scrap quilt

w.i.p. scrap quilt, originally uploaded by -syko-.

This is was happened when I decided it was time to empty my scrap boxes. It was so fun to make something big for a chance. I might have to make another quilt in a totally different colour scheme to get rid of the darker + black & white pieces...Now I "just" have to get some batting and do the quilting. My daughter wants this quilt for herself after reading this book. I think we've both enjoyed it as much, we're reading the last chapter tonight.

Thanks for all your challenging suggestions for the interactive project!

Gorgeous quilt! I love the fabrics. I'd like to see a snake - green tree snakes are very pretty :)

I just love this quilt! I need to do something simple like this with some of my scraps. Sometimes I need to remind myself - simple is good. Thanks for sharing!

Your daughter will treasure this beautiful quilt her whole life! And one day, when the quilt is faded and worn with love, she can read her own children the same story, as they wrap themselves up in this lovely blanket of comfort!
