Theme Finland part 2

Ask a Finn to name a typical Finnish animal and he will answer elk. Ask a tourist which animal he would like to see during his stay in Finland. He will probably say elk. Here's my version.

*yes, it's another pouch*

Lovely! Did you make a pouch out of it?

Hiha Syko - great stuff you're making. I just dropped by via Luziapimpinella.

I did have to supress a small envy-attack reading the story of your "day off all by yourself" in your previous post.

We all enjoy these days now and then - and are all the more happy to see our family members back afterwards ;)!

I love the elk! I am just back from a long weekend in Sweden - Stockholm and the coastline round about. The most exciting thing that happened to me (well there were lots but this was big news for me!) I saw an ELK!! I have been holidaying in the States for years looking for an elk and have never seen one - and there in Sweden at the side of the road, metres from the car, munching happily, stood an elk!

Thanks for sharing your elk with us!

SOOO cute. I love your work.
My mother's side of the family came from Finland and I am always on the look out for Finn folklore and art. Then I found you.
Are reindeer a good representative for Finland? DO you call reindeeer elk?
I'll be back.

Thanks for your comments! I hope you come to Finland next time Di!

Frizz, thanks for finding me! I'm sorry if my elk looks like a reindeer... Elk is the same as moose in America.
